Tarkington Park

This 3,000-square-foot pavilion draws inspiration from local architect Edward Pierre, who designed Tarkington Park's original 1957 tennis shelter. The building is sleek and geometric, and a linear roof structure connects the pavilion’s two main features: the cafe and the public restrooms. Visitors can sit inside the cafe, or outside under the canopy, to enjoy the interactive spray plaza and topographic playground.

Through transparency and visual connection, the pavilion provides opportunities for people-watching, as well as an inherent sense of safety and security.
