We have several exciting projects coming up in 2018, including the new Brightwood Branch Library! This $5.9 million project is part of the Indianapolis Public Library strategic plan, which continues through 2022. The new branch will include access to public transportation, and will provide additional computer access, as well as new spaces for children and teens.
“The Brightwood Library has been a key institution in the Martindale-Brightwood community since 1901,” said Josephine Rogers-Smith, executive director of the Martindale-Brightwood Community Development Corporation. “The new library will inspire hope and give way to showcase economic prosperity for the community.”
Axis will host community engagement meetings during the first few months of 2018, and construction on the new, 15,000-square-foot facility will begin in early 2019. For more information, visit the Indianapolis Public Library website.
